Constant Rate Filtration
The problem is complicated by the average specific resistance and dry cake mass per unit volume filtrate changing as pressure drop increases during the filtration.
The method of solution is to break the filtration into small increasing pressure increments and to assume that these cake properties are constant during those increments. The properties change for the next increment.
