Description of models used in simulations

The primary aim of the simulation pages is to assist in the understanding of filtration processes, with special emphasis on the parameters to be considered when a new piece of equipment, or new process, is to be used. The simulations are only as robust as the numerical models used in them and all include assumptions about the process or product. Hence, these pages are designed for the user to understand more about the simulation models are their limitations. In all cases a more reliable simulation will be provided if some test data, or existing plant data, can be used.
